The Little Witch Behind the Scene

So glad that finally this book would be launched soon. The process started from September 18 2017 when I had a chance to present my book to Philippe Werck from Clavis Publishing Belgium.

I showed them my black and white sketch dummy.

They're interested. Yippeee! The publishing process begins with some editing to fit the market and then I started to colour them with my favourite medium, watercolour and coloured pencil ^^

Free e-book on May 2018: "Kasur Awan"

It's been a year since I posted about the last ebook I illustrated. This time I will share my newest ebook that I wrote and illustrated: "Kasur Awan" (means 'a cloud bed'). It's a bed time story for little kids, showing simple conversations between Tikus Kecil (Little Mouse) and his parents. It surely will warm your heart and send your kids to sleep with sweet imaginations on how it feels when you sleep on a bed made of cloud. Feel free to read and/or download here.

Little Friend

Fundamentals of Graphic Design from Coursera

Graphic Design is something that I really want to know about. As a children's book illustrator, surely this subject will enrich me in such a way. Thankfully Coursera offers this free online course this month and I join it undoubtedly.

And this is one of my assignment for week 3, about "Repeating Pattern":

It tells about a harvest time in Southeast Asian countries, where the farmers are busy processing the rice and their chicken get scattered rice abundantly on the ground.

Below were my design for week 1 about "Making Images, Making Meaning".

Here I choose bottle as my daily household object, and I gave them connotative meaning. 

If I put a tag "Drink Me" on the bottle  and the blue gown with white apron on it  was there, you'll get the message that it was Alice's bottle from Alice in Wonderland.

If I put a wine glass under a pouring bottle with something red flowing down, you'll see that it was a celebration.

And when you saw a paper inside a bottle floating on the sea, you will see that it was a drifted message from faraway place.

The Storm

I created "The Storm" for my Coursera's 3rd assignment "Elements of Structure". Here I share it with you (a bit edited from the original one).
