Yaaay!! I'm so happy to finally see the second book of the Little Witch series published by Clavis Publishing Belgium :))

The Dutch version is published on October 2020 and the Indonesian version came two months later.

OMG it's December already!

Finally I have time to sit and share something here. This is the ebook I created through a workshop with The Asian Foundation last March, right before the covid19 pandemic in Indonesia. It was published by reader.letsreadasia.org for free.

The workshop's theme was pollution and I chose to write a fiction about sound pollution (noise) that affect  birds' lives.

This Imaginative story is written by Olivia when she was just 5 years old, illustration and lay outing by me. "Huruf yang Berbicara" (The Talking Alphabets) is about the first five alphabets that accidentally got the magic potion and they came alive. The could talk and walk. Very Late Post: Little Witch's Book Launch

Clavis Publishing and I made a book launch party in Bandung and Jakarta last September. *Face palm, this is a very very late post. Well, better late than never :D

For now, this Little Witch available in 3 languages (Dutch, Bahasa Indonesia, English), and soon will come the 4th language (Chinese) ^^

This Little Witch and her cat, named Wendy and Presto for English and Bahasa Indonesia edition. She & her cat becomes Hannelore and Pilatus in Dutch version. Wondering, who they'll be in Chinese? ^^

The Little Witch Behind the Scene

So glad that finally this book would be launched soon. The process started from September 18 2017 when I had a chance to present my book to Philippe Werck from Clavis Publishing Belgium.

I showed them my black and white sketch dummy.

They're interested. Yippeee! The publishing process begins with some editing to fit the market and then I started to colour them with my favourite medium, watercolour and coloured pencil ^^

Free e-book on May 2018: "Kasur Awan"

It's been a year since I posted about the last ebook I illustrated. This time I will share my newest ebook that I wrote and illustrated: "Kasur Awan" (means 'a cloud bed'). It's a bed time story for little kids, showing simple conversations between Tikus Kecil (Little Mouse) and his parents. It surely will warm your heart and send your kids to sleep with sweet imaginations on how it feels when you sleep on a bed made of cloud. Feel free to read and/or download here.

It's about a motherly love from Mama Bear to her Cub. Her Cub, Beruang Kecil (Little Bear) was so worry about his abilities compared to other creatures he saw. Sweet story.

Festival Dongeng Internasional Indonesia 5-6 Nov 2016

Me, wearing "Folktale on Scarf" titled "Batara Kala"

The event means Indonesian Folktale International Festival, held in Museum Nasional, Jakarta, on November 5-6, 2016. This time Kelir participated in the Children Illustration Exhibition and a workshop for children (writing and illustrating a story book).
And this time I introduced my newest creation, collaboration with Museum Batik Yogyakarta, "Folktale on Scarf". It's a folktale that printed on a scarf. We can use it either as scarf or a tool for telling a story. For the first series we have two Javanese folktales design: "Batara Kala" and "Timun Mas". Here are some photos from the event:
